Doug has a proven executive management track record and over 27 years of experience driving growth in the energy sector and power generation technology industry. He has been instrumental in FlexEnergy Solutions’ growth and evolution since first joining the company in 2011. Initially serving as its President, Doug helped start and grow Flex Leasing Power and Service in 2013, which operated in parallel to its manufacturing partner, FlexEnergy, Inc. When the partner organizations combined to form FlexEnergy Solutions in 2018, he was named Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for the company’s growth initiatives, business development and overall commercial management. Doug transitioned to Chief Executive Officer of FlexEnergy Solutions in 2022 and now oversees all facets of the business.
John has over 30 years of experience in product development and implementation of leading-edge technologies and has been with FlexEnergy Solutions since it purchased Ingersoll Rand’s small gas turbine business in 2011. During 19 years with Ingersoll Rand in the air compressor and turbine businesses, John held staff level leadership positions with responsibility for new product development, sustaining engineering, operations, facilities, and order delivery. Formerly, John was a field engineer for Schlumberger Well Services, providing engineering services in the Gulf of Mexico on exploration drilling rigs. John earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech. He holds two patents and is based in Charlotte, NC, USA.
Keith joined FlexEnergy Solutions in October 2021 with over 15 years of Corporate Finance and FP&A experience ranging from start-ups to Fortune 200 companies. He has led various teams such as Finance and Accounting, Risk, IT, Facilities, Analytics, and FP&A. Keith is currently responsible for all company finance and accounting, FP&A, banking, investor relations, and financial strategy functions. Keith received his bachelor’s and MBA with a Concentration in Finance from Gonzaga University. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, golfing, Denver Broncos football and Gonzaga Basketball.
Travis has more than 20 years of IT leadership experience, overseeing technology improvement initiatives and aligning technology solutions with business opportunities to create organizational value. Throughout his career, he has held various positions ranging from Senior Management to Director of Information Technology at Newfield Exploration and Crestone Peak Resources, respectively. He has extensive experience in leading enterprise-wide implementations, field communications, and cybersecurity. Travis graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business with an emphasis on Informational Systems and has also received a Master’s Degree in Informational Systems with a Certificate of Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
With over 30 years of leadership experience, Mark became the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at FlexEnergy Solutions in 2023. Before joining FlexEnergy, he served as the Vice President of U.S. Sales at Exterran Energy Solutions, a global leader in compression, production, and processing equipment. Mark’s background in the energy sector encompasses leadership of a sizable manufacturing organization, oversight of a diverse rental and aftermarket service business, and strategic guidance in market development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. Currently residing in the Denver metropolitan area, Mark continues to drive excellence in his leadership role.
Scott has managed FlexEnergy Solutions’ human resources and administrative infrastructure since 2017. His responsibilities include sourcing talent, retaining, and rewarding employees while working as a strategic business partner with functional leadership. He manages the planning, implementation, and administration of HR programs and systems including employment, compliance, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and development. Through his 28+ year career in human resources, Scott has worked in industries including transportation, healthcare, real estate, and oil and gas for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 300. Scott received a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO.
Jerrel joined FlexEnergy Solutions in 2013 and has over 15 years in the power generation industry. He has gained a wealth of knowledge in both the technical and operational parts of FlexEnergy Solutions and has a proven track record of providing exceptional service to our customers. Jerrel has held several positions within the FlexEnergy Solutions team including Lead Technician, Senior Technical Support, Branch Manager, North American Operations Manager, and Senior Director of Leasing Operations. He currently oversees all Service and Operations for FlexEnergy Solutions in both the USA and Canada.
Jack has 29+ years of experience commissioning, maintaining and overhauling electrical generation and distribution equipment. He has been with FlexEnergy Solutions since 2011, holding multiple staff level positions including North American Service Manager and Director of Technical Services. Prior to joining FlexEnergy, Jack worked as a Senior Master Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand Energy Systems, Exelon Corp as a Nuclear Maintenance Electrician (at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generation Station) and as a US Navy submariner aboard USS Boston (SSN-703). He holds a B.A. in Politics from Whitman College and completed the rigorous Naval Nuclear Power Program. Jack and his field service team provide global customer service and support, with a philosophy of partnership through-out the customer’s ownership experience. He is based in Philadelphia, PA.
FlexEnergy Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer, Doug Baltzer, has over 27 years of collective experience in senior management positions with roles ranging from Regional Manager, National Director, and President at companies including Northland Power Service, Aggreko, FlexEnergy, and Flex Leasing Power and Service. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in five start-up companies and has helped raise more than $75 million in venture capital to support each company’s growth goals. Mr. Baltzer received a B.S. in Business and Finance from Tabor College and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Denver.
Mr. Denison is a 30-year veteran of the energy private equity business. He is currently the managing partner of RNS Capital Partners, a closely held, private equity firm with portfolio companies in technology, energy and service businesses. Mr. Denison serves as a non-executive chairman on two of the RNS portfolio companies and is actively involved in their operations. Prior to co-founding RNS Capital, Tom served a decade as managing director and general counsel for First Reserve Corporation, an energy-focused private equity firm with $12.5 billion under management. Tom joined First Reserve after an 11-year career with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP. Mr. Denison graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Mr. Connelly is a Co-Managing Partner at Amberjack Capital in Houston, TX. His interest in the energy industry grew out of his nearly seven years of active-duty military service as an infantry officer in the United States Army. Before joining Intervale in 2015, Patrick invested in numerous oilfield service companies in the United States and Canada through his work as a Managing Director at SCF Partners, an energy-focused private equity fund. Mr. Connelly received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
